Trinity Church has sent a team of 12-30 for the last 4-5 years with this combined ministry outreach. Following the command of Jesus, we go beyond our fears and feelings, to “put on Jesus” and bring the Love of God to men and women yearning for a God connection. Specifically, we will be behind the walls on Father’s Day weekend. Last year we ministered on the same weekend, where men with tears in their eyes desperately pleaded for us to pray for their children with them!

• Bill Glass Ministry Registration is Open! They need a total of 44 Teammates, 36 Men and 8 Women. We will be ministering in Men's and Women's facilities. At this time, the exact prison facilities have not been named. To see if you are eligible, click the link in the Important Information section.

Steps to register:

1) Click on “Register for Event”
2) Create a new account or login if you have ministered with Bill Glass Ministry before.
3) Complete the profile, select our church “Trinity Church – Genoa City” from the pull down menu, answer the required questions, working through the various required questions, through
submitting the $25 payment.
4) Check your email to make sure payment went through.
5) Click on “Click here – Lake County Forms”, complete and submit
6) Confirm the email sent from Adobe Sign
7) Send Wes Slawson (Trinity’s group coordinator for this event) an email to say that you’ve completed the above steps and have completed all the steps in applying for the team. Wes’ email is wesslawson@gmail.com.

There is a required training the night before the event, Friday, June 16, 2023

(this is the required part for those who ministered with Bill Blass Ministry before. The place for the
training has yet to be set. We usually carpool rides for the training and the event from the church.

Who Can Serve on a Bill Glass Behind the Walls Event?

Bill Glass Ministries strives to make doing ministry under the Bill Glass Behind the Walls banner as open and available as possible. Anyone who agrees with our Statement of Faith can serve on a Bill Glass Behind the Walls event! There are certain rules to abide by when it comes to going behind the walls.

Here are the usual guidelines for the facilities:
1. Men and women over the age of 21 are welcome to serve in juvenile units unless otherwise noted.
2. Men over the age of 18 are allowed to serve in men's units
3. Women over the age of 18 are allowed to serve in women's units
4. Men over the age of 18 are allowed to serve in women's units if the one of the following criteria is met:
 He is paired with and serves alongside his wife
 He is paired with and serves alongside a female family member (sister, mom, daughter, etc.)
 If not married, he is paired with and serves alongside an unmarried woman
5. Women over the age of 18 are allowed to serve in men's units if one of the following criteria is met:
 She is paired with and serves alongside her husband
 She is paired with and serves alongside a male family member (brother, father, son, etc.)
 If not married, she is paired with and serves alongside an unmarried man

While we hope all events are open to all Teammates, it does not always work out that everyone will be able to go behind the walls. We do have opportunities to serve in the preparation and execution of events by serving on the Local Team.
